SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION TO SPREAD CYBERCULTURE

Security, Proietti (Cyber Security Italy Foundation): 2 years of the Foundation, results are
coming.

ROME – Two years of life, many projects already accomplished and others to be accomplished
soon. We are talking about the Cyber Security Italy Foundation, the first non-profit foundation in
Italy on the cyber world, which after the intense initial phase with the many recognitions from
national institutions, in the coming months will aim to strengthen itself internationally “We took
part in the CyberTech Global in Israel, and I will soon be in the United States to start talking to
American institutions active in the field of education and cybersecurity,” says the foundation’s
president, Marco Gabriele Proietti. In these two years of life, says President Proietti, “thanks to the
valuable work of all the members of the Technical-Scientific Committee and the Advisory Board,
whom I thank again for their dedication and enthusiasm, we have been very committed to
promoting the Foundation and disseminating the culture of cyber education through many well-
attended conferences in institutional venues, from the Chamber of Deputies to the Senate and on
Capitol Hill. We have signed agreements with important universities, and we have created an
innovative first-level master’s degree in Management and cyber security aimed at fresh graduates’.

Again, thanks also to the support of multinational and national companies, Proietti emphasises, ‘we
have launched initiatives and projects focused on educating young people about the threats of the
web starting from the school benches, involving schools and students throughout Italy A few days ago the project ‘Divulgation of the culture of Cyber Security dedicated to people with disabilities’ started, to raise their awareness of the risks related to cybersecurity, the result of an agreement with Capodarco Formazione Impresa Sociale. Another strong point of the Cyber Security Italy
Foundation, President Proietti continues, “it is the birth of the Parliamentary Intergroup on Cyber
Security and Technology on the initiative of Mr. Alessandro Colucci, Secretary of the Presidency of
the Chamber of Deputies, to which our Foundation provides support and technical collaboration.

In addition, Cyber Security Italy Foundation issues scholarships and has started a fruitful and stable
collaboration with the Postal Police, especially on educational projects that in the coming months
will involve 13 secondary schools throughout Italy’. What does the future hold? “In September, we already decided to establish our Study Centre on ‘Cyber sustainability resilience’ It will offer multidisciplinary research and in-depth study material on the links between cyber security and environmental sustainability, making best practices and high-level solutions available to all. Finally, we have started a dialogue with the Criminal Chamber of Rome for a specific project in
prisons’.
