Surfing safe and aware at sea as well as on the net. This is the spirit with which the Cyber Security Italy Foundation, the first non-profit foundation in Italy on the cyber world, conceived and chaired by Marco Gabriele Proietti, decided to take part in the 2023 World Championship of RS21 sailing, for the first time in Italy, in Porto Rotondo, supporting the athletes of Nox Oceani and providing the “Young Athletes Sustainability Award”, which was awarded to the youngest member of the competing crews.

“As a Foundation we are honoured to be able to take part in this event, which represents one of the most prestigious events in the sailing world, and its presence in Italy is a historic moment for the national sailing community. We are also proud to support the four crews of the Sardinian Nox Oceani team made up of local athletes. We decided to marry the project of Francesca de Natale, the founder, because we share the same values such as: eco-sustainability, respect for the environment, and attention to young people and their training”.

The winner of the ‘Young Athletes Sustainability Award’, promoted by the Foundation and presented on the final day of the event, was 12-year-old Giorgio Nocella, the youngest of the crew of the Italian team of ‘Nox Oceani 285’ – helmed by Andrea De Matteis, Riccardo Serra, Matteo Paulon, Laura Murineddu – who triumphed in the Under 23 category.
